Transfer aids help with the assiatance of moving the patient who needs assistance going from one place to the next. For instance, from a bed to a wheelchair, or from a wheelchair to the bathroom.  Transfer aids come in many forms depending on how much assistance the person needs. For example, a hydraulic lift helps move a peson who is predominately incapacitated and a lifting sling helps people move who have some but limited mobility.
