Shipping Policy
Order Delivery Time
All orders are processed the same day and you will receive an order confirmation. Some of our products ship out right away. Some products ship directly from the manufacturer, which may extend shipping time. SafeWell Medical Supply is not responsible for transit time of outside shipping providers. Transit times are provided by the carrier, exclude weekends and holidays, and may vary with destination, particularly during peak periods.
Only smaller, lightweight items can be shipped to PO Boxes.
Orders less than 150 lbs. take approximately 3 - 10 days (FedEx, UPS or USPS (United States Post Office) depending on destination in the contiguous US destinations.
Orders over 150 lbs. generally take 1 - 2 weeks for delivery and are shipped by a freight trucking service. We will inform you if an item will take longer than that.
Orders shipped outside the contiguous U.S. can take up to 3 weeks to arrive and will be subject to additional charges.
Order Delivery Guidelines
Prior to signing the delivery receipt or freight bill, and before the driver leaves, please verify the number of cartons in your delivery.
Please open, unpack and thoroughly inspect your shipment for any damage.
If damage or shortages are discovered, you must make a notation on all copies of the freight bill describing the shortage or damage in detail.
Your signature on the delivery receipt is an acknowledgement that the shipment was received in good condition and without any damage or shortage.
Tracking Info: We will send an email confirming shipping and include tracking numbers all UPS, USPS, and FedEx orders.
Shipping for Heavy Items
Most purchases over 150 lbs. are shipped common carrier (large freight trucks). These items require a pre-scheduled delivery time that is arranged between the carrier and buyer. Customers must be present to sign for the shipment. It is the customer's responsibility to provide a working phone number so that the carrier can schedule a delivery. Non-working phone numbers or no returned calls by the customer to schedule delivery will result in the shipment being returned to the warehouse. Due to the high cost involved with shipping large, heavy items, it will be the customer's responsibility for the shipping charges both ways for a non-delivered order returned to the warehouse. Although there are no shipping fees charged at the time of order, the cost to ship an order out will also be the customer's responsibility. The same charges will accrue if for some reason the customer decides to cancel or refuse.
The delivery truck will stop at the curb. You must unload the equipment from the truck and move it into your home or business. Inside delivery and/or setup can be requested for an additional charge. Extra charges apply for lift gate service, inside delivery and/or set-up.
Address must be easily accessible to semi-trailer trucks. Additional charges may apply to all deliveries, even if "Free Shipping" is stated, due to unusual road/driveway circumstances or other situations that restrict, encumber, or delay delivery.
FREE Shipping Offers
We have Free Shipping offers on certain items. These offers are for items shipped to the contiguous US destinations only. The total price of the item will include the price of shipping.
Orders Shipped Outside The Contiguous U.S.
Please note orders shipped to Hawaii, Alaska, APO may include additional charges. Orders shipped outside the U.S. may be charged additional taxes or import fees when your item(s) arrive. These charges initiate from the country of destination and are beyond our control. Please call us prior to placing your order for any questions regarding international shipments.
Calculated Shipping Costs
Shipping costs and price per unit of each item are deemed reliable. However, SafeWell Medical Supply reserves the right to re-bill any order due to a change in price of any item, and variances or mistakes in calculation of shipping costs.
